Why have you been spending your time on an Unclaimed Property venture?
I’m a problem-solver. I’ve always been motivated to help others solve challenging situations. I see unclaimed property as a ‘problem’ worthy of solution. When people and organizations are separated from their assets, this is a solvable problem. My time, dedication and data-management skills can be ‘of value’ to solve this widespread challenge.
How does unclaimed property wind up at the state treasury?
There are a myriad of reasons that transactions can go awry. When this happens and payments don’t process with pinpoint accuracy, the associated revenue is in jeopardy. If even a small percentage becomes subject to escheat regulations, there will be assets placed at the state as abandoned. Over many years, this accumulates substantially.
Why wouldn’t I just go online myself and find any unclaimed property? I’m sure my organization has a process for doing this.

The name is a conglomerate of ideas stemming from Jonathan’s last name – Moss. Everyone knows where to find Moss (on the northside of a tree). Everyone knows that Moss and money shares a color (green). And, the skills/personality of the business is driven by resolve and finding resolution.
